Internet. Land of everyone and nobody. Magical place where everyone has the right to speak, without distinction of sex, race or religion. But like everything in this universe there are multiple sides of the same coin. News, stories or simple photos can spread in a matter of hours. And when it comes to fake news, bordering on the absurd, the omelette is guaranteed. The Internet is teeming with real things buffaloes passed off as real. Here are some of the most popular fake news.
The driver's license for immigrants
Let's start with one of the most recent hoaxes: the one about immigrants' driving licenses. A few weeks ago the news of the immediate and free license issue began to circulate online. And who benefited from this gift? Obviously the number one enemy of many Italians: the immigrant. We also add that it was a special license with 30 points instead of the classic 20. This gave the right to a homicide road homicide, complete with 5 points left over.
In the space of 24 hours the news registered about one million shares, with indignant comments on the various forums. Too bad it was a hoax. Not so much for the free driving license, as for the fact that there was talk of a law approved by Parliament on Saturday. Those don't even work during the week, let alone at the weekend ...
Live seasoned lamb
One of my absolute favorites because it combines stupidity, high-class cuisine and vegan fury.
The facts are these: a few years ago the secret of the cooked lamb by the well-known chef Cracco. This secret included the dressing of the poor animal… when alive. In practice, according to the news, the lamb grew in green fields of parsley, garlic and extra virgin olive oil. This way the meat would have been even softer.
Absurd, but many took the news seriously and pandemonium broke out. Cracco received various insults and threats on his FB page from all the animal rights and vegan people.
One of the many hoaxes that launched the Lercio site in the Olympus of the network.
The giant worm of Castel Volturno
Sometimes the hoaxes are not entirely made up, but they are inspired by real themes in order to be more credible. This is the case of the giant worm from the province of Caserta. As many will know there is an area of Campania known as land of fires. This is due to the waste illegally disposed of on the territory. Often toxic waste which, in addition to damaging health, gives life to bizarre creatures like the giant worm. The news, complete with photos, spread in a few days, triggering panic among the population. Of course it was all false. And even if it were true Bear Grylls would have rushed to Caserta to devour the worm. If you don't know who Bear Grylls is, get it right now.
The hoaxes on chemtrails
When two categories like that of conspiracy theorists and buffaloes the damage is insured.
In recent years the question concerning the trails left by airplanes in flight has been continually re-posed. According to science, this is simply condensation. But the people of the net do not like direct answers and seasoned with concrete evidence. Here then comes out the thesis of chemtrails. A worldwide conspiracy that involves the control and / or poisoning of the human race through mysterious substances. When in doubt, when you see a plane fly over your head, hold your breath for a couple of hours.
Putin the Liberator of the Marò
In the far 2012 Salvatore Girone e Massimo Latorre they were arrested in Indian waters for the murder of two local fishermen. For the duration of the investigation, the Indian government decided to keep the two marines in their own country. However, this is not shared by our government. Thus a heated international debate was unleashed with Italy which wanted its compatriots back. Nothing to be done, India did not want to know. But one day in late November 2015 he got up Vladimir Putin and decided to put an end to this affair. With a threatening tone he explicitly asked the Indian government to bring the two soldiers back to Italy.
The news came out on national news and was also shared by some prominent political figures. Obviously it was all false, demonstrating the fact that anyone can fall into the vast world of hoaxes on the internet.
