Regarding the number of students infected from Coronavirus on 10 October, the figure stands at 0,080%. Therefore, there are 5.793 cases of positivity in educational establishments Italians. Instead, as regards the teaching staff the percentage rises: 0,133% of the total (1.020 cases). For non-teaching staff this is 0.139% (283 cases). This was announced by the Ministry of Education with a press release.
Comforting data
These data confirm what Minister Azzolina claims: school is a safe place. In fact, if we consider the number of students (8.400.000 in all), the infected are less than 5.800. In a post that appeared on the minister's official social profile, he wrote: “There is no hypothesis of restrictive measures for schools. The government has not discussed it at all. And the opposite would be strange: the data confirm that schools are much safer places than others. At school there are rules, even very stringent ones, that students and staff are respecting with a great sense of responsibility ". And then he underlines: "Recent episodes show us that they are often the origin of outbreaks that force dozens of young people and adults to quarantine."
