Back to Nature. Contemporary Art, the works of artists

Curated by Costantino D'Orazio, the exhibition Back to Nature. Contemporary Art in Villa Borghese is free admission and consists of a series of installations designed to be exhibited outdoors. A dialogue with the park, the avenues, the plants and the ponds to experience the correspondence between the contemporary sign and the architecture of the park. The works were designed specifically for the event by internationally renowned artists such as Loris Cecchini, Leandro Erlich, Giuseppe Gallo, Marzia Migliora, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Pietro Ruffo, Tomás Saraceno, Marinella Senatore and the collective Accademia di Aracne.

The project is promoted and produced by Rome Culture, Capitoline Superintendence for Cultural Heritage with the organization of Zètema Progetto Cultura. There is also a fascinating collaboration with the Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Music which will enliven the opening period and weekends with musical performances. The exhibition involves the Parco dei Daini and the Piazza di Siena area. A path of works that invite visitors to rediscover the spaces of the garden in a contemporary way. Among the most interesting works is the installation by Leandro Erlich that plays between possible and impossible. Relevant that of Marinella Senatore who offers the public a platform on which to perform. Marzia Migliora instead proposes a work in collaboration with the inmates of the Rebibbia women's prison.

In mid-June, Piazza di Siena will come alive with the Third Paradise by Michelangelo Pistoletto. 100 benches produced thanks to the involvement of as many donors will be placed on the lawn of the square to form the symbol conceived by the artist as a sign of a new social dimension.

Different visions, different techniques and means

The choice of contemporary artists allows us to analyze a series of different visions in relation to authors of the first half of the twentieth century. Among the names there are Benedetta Cappa Marinetti, Fausto Pirandello, Umberto Prencipe, Enrico Coleman and Onorato Carlandi, testifying to the continuity of research on this subject. A small section is dedicated to water, fundamental for the fate of the planet. Among the works on the wall you can admire the oriental landscape of Isabella Ducrot ela representation of the infinite by Maria Lai. Do not forget the cosmic visions of Giulio Turcato and Alberto Di Fabio and the view of the Parco dei Daini in Villa Borghese by Alessandra Giovannoni
