Intersos is a non-governmental humanitarian organization. Born in Italy, it is present in 19 countries around the world and has been active since 1992. Active to support the population ofUkraine, which suffers the dramatic consequences of the war. Unfortunately, the need for humanitarian aid is constantly increasing and by donating it is possible to do one's part.
Intersos for Ukraine
Operators and operators of Intersos are currently present in Poland and Moldova, in order to offer concrete help, medical treatment, psychological support and protection to refugees from Ukraine, fleeing the war. The data provided by the United Nations underline that people on the run have already exceeded 2 million, headed for neighboring territories.
The initiative in favor of Ukraine foresees an intervention in Poland in support of the medical treatment point located in the Korczowa first reception and transit center. The number of people arriving is very high and three doctors are constantly working to guarantee assistance.
The other location is in Moldova, where Intersos has activated a mobile clinic for basic medical assistance to refugees in transit in Tudora, on the border with Palanca. In collaboration with UNHCR, protection activities, identification of vulnerable cases, psychosocial support and information are guaranteed.
Here are the words of one of the doctors of Intersos, Alice Silvestro: “The people most in need of care are women and children, often very young, including newborns of a few days. We also find ourselves assisting many people with chronic diseases, such as diabetes, asthma or hypertension, who have had to stop the treatments they need ”.

- 35 euro: medical kit
- 70 euro: psychosocial support for 15 people
- 150 euro: 60 medical consultations at mobile clinics
