When a simple idea turns into a success
It was 2004 and not even thirty years old Matthew Campodonico he worked as an employee at an Italian company. Graduated in Economics, with a good career ahead of him, Matteo cultivated a passion like so many millions of Italians: football. He was not only fascinated by that world with goals, overhead shots and intoxicating dribbles. He was also attracted to what was happening off the pitch: the market, negotiations or the search for young talents. And precisely on this last point, one day, Matteo Campodonico came up with the idea for his app. At the time, there was no database on players and matches. Coaches and team leaders viewed tons of VHS to rate players, matches and simple layouts. In the digital age this system was decidedly obsolete. So it was that Matteo decided to collect data on data and enclose them in a single platform. And thanks to the help of his friend Simone Falzetti, after not a few sacrifices, WyScout was born.
