Do you want to win a scholarship to study Italian? This is your chance! The project of the italiani.it Foundation has started, which promotes the study of the Italian language in the world. The project, intended for descendants of Italians (and others) residing in Latin America, aims to offer an opportunity to access an Italian language course for people who have never studied Italian but who have the desire to do so.
The italiani.it Foundation will fund 12 Italian language scholarships.
Italian language scholarships
The idea of offering scholarships was born having in mind the values, mission and purpose of the italiani.it project: the spread of the Italian language and culture in the world. A goal that, day after day, involves all those chefs who are part of the large italiani.it family: the largest network of Italians in the world.
This is the first time that we have started with a project of this kind and we want to do everything possible to give an opportunity to start Italian language studies for those who, for various reasons, have never done so. The scholarships of the italiani.it Foundation are for teenagers and adults residing in Latin America.
Information on Italian language courses
The italiani.it Foundation will finance 12 scholarships. The language course will be held virtually, and the level is equivalent to A1 (initial level according to the European reference mark for the study of languages). The duration of the language course will be from August to December of the year 2020. Each lesson will be weekly and will last 1 hour. The students of the course will be able to access the material through various online platforms.
A calendar will be drawn up with the times and dates of each lesson. All information relating to the language course will be communicated to the scholarship winners before the course starts.
Alliance between the italiani.it Foundation and the "Calabrese Association of Buenos Aires, Mutual and Cultural"
To carry out this project, italiani.it has entered into a partnership with the Calabrese Mutual and Cultural Association of Buenos Aires. Currently, the Association offers the community various foreign language courses. At the end of the course, students will be able to take a level exam endorsed by Consulate General of Italy in Buenos Aires, to certify knowledge of the language.
How to participate from scholarships?
Those who want to participate in the Italian language scholarships must fill out the form of registration. Candidates must send their personal data and answer some questions that will allow the subsequent selection of the beneficiaries of the study grants. They will also have to write down the reasons why they would like to study Italian!
Selection of candidates
The selection of candidates will be made by Foundation italiani.it. The students of the course must be resident in some of the Latin American cities in which italaini.it has contacts, namely:
Buenos Aires, Mar del Plata man, Rosary, Missions, Mendoza, Cordova, Montevideo ed Assumption. In addition, resident persons can participate in Tucumán, Río Negro, La Plata e currents, where italiani.it also has contacts for its project and the new sites will start soon.
