“More work-life balance, less burnout”. This is it slogan who is bringing the Generation Z to revolutionize the world of work. And who better than Gen Z to lead this change? The data speaks clearly: 58% of workers born between 1997 and 2021 say they suffer from burnout.

Social media is the means to shout out to the world frustrations and dissatisfaction related to one's job. On TikTok, in fact, there are different i trends which are becoming popular thanks to members of Gen Z, including:
- Quiet Quitting (828 million views), that is, working as little as necessary on the basis of what is foreseen in the contract, without working overtime or taking on additional responsibilities;
- Quittok (50 million views), which involves the creation and sharing of a video that immortalizes the exact moment in which you resign;
- Rage Applying (6 million views), that is, sending countless applications for any open position on LinkedIn, regardless of what it is;
- Bare Minimum Monday (2,5 million views), which consists of doing the bare minimum on the first day of the week, testifying to the experience with a video to share.
Generation Z is upending the order of priorities in the world of work. It's no longer a question of salary. The principles underlying the ideal job are flexibility, meritocracy, autonomy, growth opportunities and, especially, healthy balance between professional life and private life.
In the battle waged by Gen Z, the reclamation of free time it therefore becomes essential to be able to dedicate yourself to your own hobby, from travel to discover new places and cultures to interests such as music, TV series, video games and technological innovations. However, being able to carve out some time for your passions is not the only thing that matters. What distinguishes Generation Z from previous generations is theirs activism on issues such as sustainability, diversity and inclusion, which are of such importance that they also influence the professional sphere. Gen Zers expect there to be one strong attention to these issues also in their working environment. Life and work, therefore, mix, in search of a balance that can minimize burnout.
