The examination commissions of the 8 thousand schools in Italy have opened the electronic packages containing the 7 tracks selected by the ministry for first Italian test.
First Italian test, type A: from Ungaretti to Pirandello
As regards typology A, concerning the analysis of the text, there is Giuseppe Ungaretti with “Pellegrinaggio”, taken from the collection Life of a man, which offers testimony to the Great War. Among the tracks, there is also a text by Luigi Pirandello, taken from Notebook by Serafino Gubbio Operator: an invitation to reflect on the man-machine relationship in the era of progress.
First Italian test, type B: from Galasso to Levi Montalcini
As regards type B, i.e. the argumentative text, a passage from Giuseppe Galasso, historian and leading exponent of Southernism contemporary, taken from History of Europe, which invites graduates to reflect on the Cold War. There is also a text taken from Maria Agostina Cabiddu, contained in “Aic magazine (Italian Association of Constitutionalists”), on digital citizenship, and “Rediscovering silence. Art, music, poetry, Nature between listening and communication" by the journalist Nicoletta Polla Mattiot: a reflection on the value of silence in a noisy society.
First Italian test, type C:
As regards typology C, a current topic, there is a text taken from "In Praise of Imperfection" by Rita Levi-Montalcini: the valorization of imperfection as a stimulus to growth and improvement: The other text is taken from Maurizio Caminito in “Profiles, selfies and blogs”, which analyzes the change in diary writing in the digital age.
