After the "Amadeus domination", here Sanremo changes. Carlo Conti arrives, he will be the new artistic director. The announcement came last night during TG1: "A unanimous decision by the top management".
Born in Florence on 13 March 1961, the television presenter and author already presented the Festival in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Excited, Conti explained what convinced him to accept this new challenge: “I felt so good about myself: after all the cheering they did for me, I said yes. And it's a nice way to celebrate my first 40 years in Rai“. The host does not allow himself to give away spoilers about the next edition: “My assignment starts today, I haven't listened to the songs yet. First I work on the rules".
Pieraccioni and Panariello regular guests?
There has often been talk in recent days of two "regular guests" at the next Sanremo, but Conti has denied this hypothesis. “Pieraccioni and Panariello? Not as a permanent presence.” Therefore, there will not be the permanent trio on the Ariston stage, as was initially rumoured, unless Conti is "playing" to then surprise the viewers.
Certainly, Conti has a very difficult objective: Sanremo, after years of splendor and astonishing results, with an ever-increasing audience over the years, must remain at high levels. And we know that after reaching the top, it is difficult to repeat yourself.
