From Monday 15 June it is possible to visit in Rome, a Palace of Expositions, the highly anticipated exhibition Between Munari and Rodari. A unique initiative strongly desired by the Committee for the celebrations ofRodarian Year set up by Biblioteche di Roma. The project is the result of collaboration with Corraini, With whom Bruno munari - Italian illustrator and designer forerunner of the times, artistic pride of our country - has always worked in a stable way. It is not just a tribute to two great singles of the Italian twentieth century but it is a recognition of theirs meeting artistic, a real one partnership human and intellectual that deserved a proper celebration.

The protagonists of the exhibition in fact on the one hand Gianni Rodari, timeless writer, giant of literature Italian, on the other Bruno munari, father of revolutionary industrial design and creator of memorable illustrations - many of which have beautifully punctuated the small masterpieces of Rodari. The writer this year would have accomplished 100 years. Many initiatives have been organized throughout Italy to commemorate him. The exhibition is a maze of panels set with real jewels: original works, unpublished archive photos, found correspondence. A bright window on the kaleidoscopic personality of the two Italian geniuses.

But in addition to genius, the project highlights the human component, the inexhaustible commitment to world of childhood. Both strongly believed in the importance of an education based on the fusion of art and play. Respecting this common inclination, part of the exhibition is dedicated to the project Nursery rhymes Animated. A laboratory digital set up in advance by the Palazzo delle Esposizioni during the lockdown period. Main objective: to stimulate and artistically involve the little ones, precisely through the drawing and retracing the footsteps of the master Munari, whose simple and stylized shapes recall precisely the first strokes of the children on the sheets. The best known were happy to participate in the workshop illustrators Italian, for each of which Bruno Munari is and will remain the undisputed master. Their works, together with those of the children, integrate the already rich itinerary of the exhibition.

It is possible to visit the exhibition until 24 October 2020 on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10.00 to 20.00. Friday and Saturday from 10.00 to 22.30. Closed on Mondays only.
