The Municipal Administration of Lecce has decided to begin a census of monumental trees in the municipality and is asking all Salento residents for help in this majestic undertaking. All the information needed to correctly identify a monumental tree and the parameters needed to evaluate its characteristics (such as the table of circumferences) are published on the Municipality's official website, at the following link:

The census will be conducted with the help of schools, associations, organizations, professionals, and active citizens who wish to participate, collaborating to create a map of monumental shrubs. Anyone can report them by completing a special survey form, which, along with a photo of the plant, must be sent to the relevant office.
