"Starting from tomorrow the control activities must be intensified, in particular, it is necessary to organize the services by ranking them according to the 'at risk' classification of the areas and the consequent prescriptive measures to which they are subject".
He writes it on Chief of Police Lamberto Giannini in the circular to the Quaestors that accompanies that of the head of the cabinet of the Ministry of the Interior. Giannini also asks that "specific control activities" be implemented in the premises and along the road and motorway network. Especially on the border between the red and orange regions, as well as in airports and stations.
The Interior Ministry intensifies checks
Controls in the premises will be encouraged for compliance with anti-Covid regulations together with targeted interventions in the squares and in the nightlife areas, to prevent any gatherings. Basically, the head of cabinet Bruno Frattasi writes, the more than 70 thousand men of the police forces available will have to concentrate the checks first and foremost on "all the activities" which will reopen starting from Monday. So bars and restaurants in the lead but also cinemas, theaters and clubs where live shows will be held. "Targeted interventions" must then be prepared to avoid gatherings, in areas where there are premises open to the public, in areas characterized by "Intense flows of mobility". And, again, in all the squares and streets where the nightlife, especially on weekends.

The spread of the virus in our country is always under close observation by experts. According to data released by the Ministry of Health, the new positive cases recorded in the last 24 hours are 13.158 (yesterday 13.817). There are 217 new deaths (yesterday 322). The discharged healed today are 13.176 (yesterday 17.587). There are 2.862 Covid patients in intensive care, 32 fewer than yesterday; 437.688 remain in home isolation. The swabs carried out are 239.482 (yesterday 320.780).
