Dawn on the Marmolada, queen of Dolomites. On the calendar for the next few days are three extraordinary appointments scheduled for 14, 20 and 27 January. The dawn of the queen is truly a unique and magical event that instills wonder and a sense of peace with its rarefied atmosphere and its delicate and iridescent colours.
The Dawn of the Queen
Get on Queen of the Dolomites when still in the valley everything is immersed in darkness it is a unique and evocative experience. Once at the top you can enjoy the magical spectacle offered by the dawn, a panorama to be admired at a height of 3265 meters from the panoramic terrace of Punta Rocca. The program includes the ascent by cable car up to Serauta and then a short coffee break to wait for the sun to rise. You then take the last cable car to reach Punta Rocca and its terrace from which to enjoy a show that is different and captivating at all times.
Darkness slowly gives way to light and colors in the marvelous setting of the Dolomites, a World Heritage Site. From that height you can recognize the most fascinating peaks and the steepest walls, up to see, on the clearest days, even the bell tower of San Marco in Venice. The dawn of the queen is a traditional winter event on the Marmolada, with the possibility of going down to the valley on skis, on the beautiful slopes. Naturally, the excursion at dawn ends each time with a hearty breakfast and with the return to the valley.
