Beppe Fiorello will direct, for the first time, a film that will be titled Stranizza d'amuri. The shooting of the film, produced by Iblafilm, Pepito Produzioni with Rai Cinema, will begin at the end of the summer.

The great actor Beppe Fiorello finally realizes his dream cherished for years of going behind the camera and does so with a film whose story is inspired by a news story of the late 70s. It is a crime that took place in Sicily, a Catania.

While waiting to know the places where the film will be shot and the names of the protagonists, we read the words of the director about this first experience: "I waited many years before deciding, I have always had respect and fear for such a complicated, difficult job and I am very excited especially for the story I have decided to tell. For years I have been following with interest a crime that took place in the province of Catania in the late '70s and for years I thought that that story of a timeless love, never consummated and forever remembered should become a tale. I relied on my imagination to restore to the public the memory of those two guys who paid too high a price to love each other".
