As every year, from six to this part, the new green rural municipalities selected among the Green Spikes have been announced. Well 18 cities enriched the list, from North to South, in the name of sustainable development for the environment, also capable of attracting the attention of a certain type of tourists.
A journey through beautiful Italian rural areas, all thanks to the work of the FEE-Foundation for Environmental Education Italy. The basic concept is to reward places that have shown particular attention to their natural territory, placing sustainability at the center of their development. In these areas it is possible to find characteristic productions, innovative agricultural processes and, in general, a system of enhancement of the naturalistic areas that characterize the territory. This is what lies behind the recognition of the Green Spikes.
Green ears
Italy knows well how the protection of its landscapes and naturalistic treasures is fundamental. For this prizes like the Village of villages and Green ears are of great importance. The latter is a real quality mark, which underlines the commitment of a territory. It is, at the same time, an incentive to do better and better, preserving a heritage to be preserved for the new generations.
Il July 27th, 2021 the press conference was held for the announcement of the new municipalities. A total of 18 new names found space on the extensive list, which boasts a total of 59 locations to be discovered. In order to be able to become part of this prestigious list, it is necessary to highlight one's name for sustainability and agricultural innovation, as well as for characteristic productions of the place, the management of the waste cycle and, in general, the naturalistic enhancement. In addition to the symbolic value, being able to be part of the Spighe Verdi means putting your name in a showcase, which allows the emergence of a tourist flow of great importance for the local economy.
