“Sibillini in rosa” returns to Montedinove, here’s when

In Montedinove, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, the 2th edition of “Sibillini in rosa” returns on November 3 and 14, the event in which the uniqueness of the pink apple is celebrated.

In the territory of the legendary Sibillini Mountains, the enchanting village of Montedinove will once again dress up for the holidays to host an event that over the years has become an unmissable point of reference for lovers of nature, historic villages and gastronomic traditions.

The event has always attracted many tourists and gourmets in search of genuine and authentic flavours where it will be a little market where it will be possible buy mountain specialties, often unobtainable in ordinary commercial channels and can be Taste local dishes and seasonal in the food stands set up in the historic centre all accompanied by the performances by numerous street artists which will enliven the little squares of the village.

What events will take place during the event?

Il first date which will kick off the event will take place Saturday at 10am at the “Pink Apple Museum”, during which the qualities and unique aspects of this fruit, recognized as a Slow Food Presidium and known since ancient times, will be explored in depth.

According to numerous scientific studies and research This apple, rich in polyphenols and antioxidants, is an “elixir” of long life, with a versatility of use that makes it the perfect ingredient for both sweet and savoury gastronomic preparations, such as mustard, for example.

The apple owes its name of “pink apple” to the colour of the red-wine streaks that overlap the intense green of the still unripe fruit and to the rose scent it gives off.

The most glittering moment of the party will be Sunday afternoon, starting at 16pm, where there will be theperformance of the flag-wavers of the Quintana of Ascoli Piceno, while at 17 hours one will take place show cooking entitled “The pink apple puts on a show in the kitchen”, created in collaboration with the Accademia di Tipicità and proposed by the Orso brothers, chef Daniel and pastry chef Mattia.
