The attention of Italians for all those events that promote musical culture throughout the Mediterranean boot territory has increased considerably compared to the latest results from the past semesters. It is once again the SIAE has to provide this date positive. In the preceding semesters, the spending of Italians on all organized cultural events reached minimal percentages. However, already in the semester preceding the latter, the percentages increased dramatically; registering a growth of 5,67% at the box office, and 9,26% of the expenditure made by the public during the performances; resulting in an increase in total business of 11,46%. To corroborate the affirmation of growth, are the latest data that emerged from the first half of 2016. Let's see how.
SIAE First Half Performance Data
It seems so. According to what emerged from the latest sums drawn out from the first half of 2016, the SIAE announces a positive trend. 2015 ended as the year of exponential growth in the field of Italian participation in cultural events; 2016, now, takes shape within a framework of stability that tells of an Italy that once again this year has spared no expense for the cultural events organized in the area.
There are four cultural sectors subject to statistical examination. Among these, in addition to music, the subject of our article, we include cinema, theater and sport. If compared to 2015, theatrical and cinematographic activity recorded an increase in receipts, to alarm and the data relating to sport; it seems that the latter has been subject to a negative decline in consumption; a decline which resulted in a 6,39% decrease in the business spectrum. Instead, the theatrical activity has aroused satisfaction and hope, recording a remarkable result by increasing its turnover by 17,3%. Cinema increases its volume by 14,88%; and that relating to concerts by 5,18%.
Significant growth in the music industry
As regards the musical activity, compared to the thriving 2015, SIAE recorded an increase in the number of shows held in the area in 2016; and the obliterated entrances to attend the latter. In fact, if the shows increased by 2,47%; admissions also increased by 7,69%. From this percentage combination it emerges that the Italians have reserved a higher expenditure of 4,59% more than the previous year. Turnout probably caused by a slight drop in access tickets; 1,65% less, in Classical music; 3,51% less in pop music; and 4,88% less in Jazz music.
The box office blockbuster could only be Vasco Rossi; first of all in the top ten concerts of pop music, thanks to his live at the Olympic Stadium in Rome (June 26); In the same month, by means of other dates scheduled for the same month, always keeping the route on the capital, he maintained the top four positions in the top ten.
In first place, for the theatrical top ten, Notre Dame of Paris, revisited by Luc Plamondon and harmonized by Riccardo Cocciante. It will instead be Giuseppe Verdi's Traviata that will win the first place in the opera ranking; opera staged at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice.
