In 1960 the Gualtieri family gave birth to ALPA, a company that combines experience, tradition and craftsmanship. The philosophy that guides the production is to work the raw material, in total respect of the Earth, following tradition and aiming for quality, all sprinkled with a passion for things done well.

ALPA started from the chestnut trade but has evolved and enriched over time. The production plant, located in the municipality of Rogliano, in the province of Cosenza, consists of three departments. There is the “fresh area” in which the calibration, sterilization, selection and packaging of the chestnut takes place. In the dry area, on the other hand, drying, selection and packaging are taken care of. Finally, in the transformed area, the production of all the products takes place. Alpa, in fact, produces jams of the most varied tastes: from plum and ginger to carrot and orange, passing through red onion to apple and goji berries. But, of course, the cornerstone of the Gualtieri family's production is chestnuts. There are dry ones, there is gluten free chestnut flour. There are chestnut cream and roasted chestnuts natural or flavored with grape must, rum syrup and chocolate cream. ALPA also produces some pasta shapes, obviously with chestnut flour, and to be seasoned with the tomato sauce of the company itself.

ALPA has remained faithful to its initial philosophy for almost 60 years. To offer its customers a genuine and healthy product, only cane sugar is used and the quantities are limited without, however, sacrificing taste. To this end, ALPA is also implementing organic production, today 70% of the processed product. It only processes fresh seasonal fruit, without the use of preparations and semi-finished products, and the production process is based on craftsmanship, in order to preserve the quality of the raw materials.
