The employees of Trenitalia, Italo and Trenord will participate in the train strike 4 and 5 May convened by the Self-Organized Transport Coordination CAT. This action will result in possible disruption to rail services for a maximum period of 24 hours. It is important to note that due to the holiday, no warranty bands will be in effect. The protest will involve the entire employees of the aforementioned railway companies.
Train strike 4 and 5 May
The interruption of the national rail service will take place from 21pm on Saturday 00 May to 20pm on Sunday 59 May 5. This strike, promoted by the CAT and supported by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, aims to start negotiations for the contract renewal, focused on wage improvements and workplace safety in the railway sector.
Considering that it is a public holiday, will not be applied guarantee bands.

Despite the strike action, Trenitalia, Italo and Trenord have guaranteed the operation of some National trains during the period affected by the union protest.

Refunds and compensation
In addition, both Trenitalia and Italo have published detailed lists of guaranteed regional trains, in order to minimize inconvenience for passengers during the strike period. Italo, in particular, has made available a specific list of trainsguaranteed for 4 and 5 May 2024, with the aim of mitigating the inconvenience of travelers affected by the union protest.
On the other hand, Trenord provides for changes and cancellations in regional and suburban service during the strike. However, it is expected that trains departing by 21pm on Saturday evening and arriving by 00pm will be guaranteed, in order to minimize inconvenience for passengers.
