The Feast at the Tower of Saints Peter and Paul takes place every year in the locality of San Mauro Pascoli, in the province of Forlì-Cesena. It is no coincidence that such an appreciated festival takes place in one of the regions with such an enviable food and wine heritage. Precisely the event takes place at Villa Torlonia, where Ruggero Pascoli, father of the great poet John Pastures, exercised the trade of factor. This event is sponsored by the municipality of San Mauro Pascoli, and is always practiced in the last weekend of June. This year the affected period will be from 22 to 24 June, and the days in which the party will be held will be quite intense!
This party involves the members ofassociation Tower, together with all those who love their land and their traditions. Usually all citizens flock to celebrate this anniversary, and there is a significant turnout also from the neighboring villages. During the celebrations there will be many activities planned, including one of the most popular: the guided tour inside the main building of Villa Torlonia, which is not normally accessible to the general public. In addition to the tour in the villa, it is also possible to visit a very old church, dedicated to the Saints of the Feast, Peter and Paul. Not only that, food stands will be set up prepared by the association Torre, with tasting of typical local dishes.
Festival program: days of fun
The Festival at the Torre dei Santi Pietro e Paolo foresees a 2018 with all the trimmings. On the first day of the festival, June 22, there will be one food stand with traditional Romagna delicacies. Afterwards live music and the day after, on the 23rd, there will be no lack of fun to the rhythm of Pizzica. For the last day, the 24th, something else is expected. At ten a regenerating spiritual break at the characteristic church of Saints Peter and Paul, to then admire objects from the past with the exhibition Merchants at the Court. This will be followed by a thrilling sling competition, another food stand and a musical show not to be missed.
