A Ionian rock The welcoming ceremony for the "Blue Flag 2023" is scheduled for next Friday, June 30th. This is the prestigious recognition that symbolizes clean seas, quality and safety of beach services and attention to eco-sustainability, which FEE (acronym for “Foundation for Environmental Education”) awarded the town of the 21st consecutive year Ionian Sea of Reggio CalabriaAn award given for the seventh consecutive year to the tourist port Port of Graces.
Blue Flag in Roccella Jonica
The initiative is organized by the municipal administration, at the instigation of the Councilor for Environmental Policies Fabrizio Chiefari, in collaboration with the Municipality's in-house company, Jonica Multiservizi Spa, and with the company Porto Delle Grazie Srl. The ceremony of raising the Blue Flag will start at 19pm on the seafront near the new play area. While the banner The flag will be raised to the sound of the Mameli Anthem, in the presence of authorities and citizens. Mayor Vittorio Zito and Councilor Fabrizio Chiefari will be present, offering greetings from the Administration.
Following the flag-raising ceremony, the new municipal playground on Via Marina, following recent renovations, will be returned to the community. It's a fully equipped and inclusive play area where all children can play and have fun safely.
