Catering and street food together with the Nettuno Food Village. For the first time, chefs and food entrepreneurs exhibit their food stands in the square, offering quality and local tradition. From 5 to 14 May 2023opens the Nettuno Food Village, sul Lungomare Giuseppe Impastato from the Lazio town. The gastronomic event is organized by the Pro Loco Forte Sangallo in collaboration with the Nettuno in Tavola Restaurateurs Association.
Neptune Food Village
Visitors to the food village will be able to admire a large 1.200 square meter outdoor kitchen, practically on the seashore, where 15 cooks will try their hand at cooking. All together, for 10 days, they will enliven the celebration of Our Lady of Grace. There are many culinary offerings, from freshly made pasta with seafood, to risotto with scampi, fried fish, the grilled area with steaks and porchetta, and gourmet fish and meat sandwiches. But also tonnarelli all'amatriciana, alla carbonara and cacio e pepe. Can not miss the homemade desserts. All accompanied by quality wines and beers.
A feast not only for the palate. In fact, there are also many events such as the cover of Vasco Rossi of "Rock under siege" and the tribute to Pino Daniele with i “Blues for Pino”. For football lovers there is also the possibility of attending the Champions League (May 9 and 10) and Europa League (May 11) matches. Grand finale with the Sons of the Stars (Friday 12 May) and the Erre Sei (Saturday 13 May). Meetings and guided tastings are also scheduled.
Enhancement of gastronomic culture
The president of the Pro Loco Forte Sangallo, Mario Lomartire explains that “the goal is to enhance the city of Nettuno and its gastronomic culture, which represents a precious heritage to be preserved and promoted. We are happy to be able to collaborate with the Nettuno in Tavola Restaurateurs Association to offer visitors a unique experience, made up of flavors and traditions”. “For us restaurateurs – says Claudio Della Millia, president of theNettuno in Tavola Restaurateurs Association – this is a real gamble. We wanted to offer not only a version of quality street food, but above all we wanted to aim at enhancing local restaurants and our territory which needs to be known for its values".
