Republic Day, 77th anniversary: concert at the Quirinale performed by the Rai National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Speranza Scappucci. For the occasion, the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, invited the heads of mission accredited in Italy.

On the program music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Gioacchino Rossini, Giuseppe Martucci and Giuseppe Verdi. The concert will be broadcast today June XNUMXst live on Rai Uno and Rai Radio 3, starting at 17.50 and will be opened by the greeting of the head of state. At the end, the traditional evening reception will follow in the gardens of the Quirinale. Also today, June 15st at XNUMXpm, the solemn changing of the guard will take place in Piazza del Quirinale by the Corazzieri Regiment on horseback with the Fanfare of the 4th Carabinieri Regiment on horseback.

Tomorrow, Friday 2 June, at 9.15, President Mattarella, in the presence of the highest institutional offices, will pay homage to the'Altar of the Fatherland with the deposition of a laurel wreath with the tricolor ribbon. Subsequently, in via di San Gregorio, he will receive the presentation of the departments lined up for the magazine and will watch the traditional military parade from the presidential rostrum in via dei Fori Imperiali. Tomorrow afternoon, 2 June, the opening of the Quirinale gardens to the public, from 16.30 to 18.30, will be reserved for categories of people with frailties.
Coinciding with the opening of the gardens, for the first time the Italian youth choir of the Italian National Federation of Regional Choral Associations (Feniarco). There will also be the Piedmont Youth Band of the National Association of Autonomous Italian Bands (ANBIMA) and, like last year, the Interforce Band.
