During the presentation of Rai's summer schedules, attention was once again focused on Rosario Fiorello. In these hours in the world of TV there is talk of nothing else.
The Sicilian showman was able to spark the curiosity of the public and industry insiders with a simple joke – but not too simple – uttered during a live broadcast on Instagram: «After Mara, I would like to host Domenica In». A phrase that, although unrelated to the topic of the meeting (i.e. summer entertainment), immediately monopolized the conversations. Fiorello launched this suggestion apparently as a joke, only to retract it the following day in the radio program “Viva Rai2!” on Radio2 with Fabrizio Biggio. «Conducting Domenica In? It means rehearsing, live broadcasting… but on Sundays I use the tour bus", he joked, leaving however the doubt as to whether it was really just a joke. The Rai Entertainment Director, Angelo Mellone, jumped at the provocation and said he was ready to do anything to see Fiorello in that bracket: «If he accepts, I'll leave my role and go and be an author.».

The ball then passed directly to Mara Venier, the historic host of the Sunday show, who welcomed the idea with enthusiasm: «Fiorello is my perfect heir, he can do everything. But I don't know if he wants to... But if he really came back, I would like to do it with him. After sixteen editions under my belt, I can give you some advice». And then, as a guest on Tv Talk on Rai3, the final blow: «Fiorello, come and do it Sunday In with me, not after me».
Meanwhile, among confirmations and returns, we also note that of Pino Insegno who takes up the reins of "Chain reaction”, ready to lead the summer quiz show in the pre-evening on Rai1. Fiorello on Domenica In? We’ll talk about it and we’ll find out later, if Mara manages to convince him.
