Italians' favorite season varies depending on the poll, but summer and spring usually compete for first place.

Why do we like summer?
In the latest polls the 36% of the respondents explains that he prefers the summer, because it is the period of the year strictly linked to the holidays and longing for the sea, to nights on the beach, to long journeys, to relaxation and to days spent without looking at the clock.

Why do we love spring?
Spring is the second most loved season by Italians, with the 35% of preferences according to the same surveys.
Spring is liked because it symbolizes the rebirth and new lifea, offering a landscape of flowers and bright colors after the winter.
During this season the days get longer and the the climate is milder, both of which improve the mood of many.
Also, in spring, sunlight increases vitamin D production acting positively on blood circulation and providing more energy to the body.

Why do we like autumn?
14% of the interviewees explain that they love autumn because its warm colours transmit a feeling of inner peace.
Autumn brings with it the scents of wet earth and the flavors of foods such as pumpkins, chestnuts and mushrooms, representing a regenerating break after summer.
The landscape transforms with the bright and warm colors of red, yellow and orange of the leaves, creating a visual impact that stimulates wonder.

Autumn is defined as the “cozy season”, the season of comfort, because its atmosphere is ideal for creating a welcoming home environment, it is like a refuge after the hot summer days just passed.
For some people, autumn almost represents a true "New Year," the beginning of a "new year" after the summer break, which brings us back to routine and "normal" rhythms, offering a sense of renewal.

Why do we like winter?
At the bottom of all the polls, with the 7% of preferences, there is winter.
There are many factors that influence this preference.
Winter is nice for the feeling of calm and introspection which brings, the magical atmosphere of Christmas, the snowy landscapes and the possibility of staying warm within the walls of your home.
The cold, moreover, stimulates the body and mind producing endorphins, hormones of well-being, increasing concentration.
For many interviewees, the snow-covered landscapes and the silence typical of the season give a sense of tranquility and connection with nature and with oneself.
We all have a connection with the phases of nature and with the periods that define the passage of time, which is why each of us has a preference for a certain season.
