The five finalists of the Campiello Giovani who will compete for the final victory of the prestigious have been chosen Literary Award. It is aimed at children between 15 and 22 years old and is promoted by the Campiello-Confindustria Veneto Foundation. The five young writers represent Italy from north to south. In fact, two come from Sicily, one from Campania, one from Veneto and one from Friuli Venezia Giulia. The announcement of the five took place during a show at New Theater of Verona, with a special tribute to the tormented land of Ukraine. The show was animated by Ukrainian professional dancers Daria Tsyhipa and Natalia Kolomiites from the Les Petits Pas dance school, directed by choreographer Katia Tubini.

Between music and dance, with a few smiles and a bit of irony (the show was conducted by Federico Basso and Davide Paniate, conductors and authors of various editions of Zelig), the Technical Committee announced the five selected stories. The winner will be announced on Saturday 2 September 2022 during the final press conference of the Campiello Prize. He will be awarded the same evening on the stage of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice on the occasion of the final ceremony of the competition for seniors. The finalists are Salvatore Lamberti, 21 years old, from Sciasano (Naples), with the short story “Fast ash”. Luca Maggio Zanon, 22 years old, from Cervignano del Friuli (Udine), with the story “The silence of the sun-scorched lands”. Nicolo Alessandro Tavian, 19 years old, from Selvazzano Dentro (Padua), with the short story “Slabbrare”. Alberto Bartolo Varsolana, 21 years old, from Palermo, with the short story “La spartenza”.

The collaboration of the literary prize dedicated to young people with the National Movement of Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria was renewed again this year. Thanks to which there will also be a special mention for the best story that has dealt with the theme of corporate culture in its broadest sense. There will also be two further awards: for the best story that has dealt with the theme of social and / or environmental sustainability. And for the best story that has dealt with the theme of travel. Be it understood in its most common meaning or in an abstract sense. The prize of the winner of the Campiello Giovani will be a study trip to a European country. He will also join the jury of the Italian Olympics. While the winner of the Olympics will participate in the extended jury of Campiello Giovani.
