On the occasion of Women's Day, the city will hold the “Pink Run Vercelli”. A great opportunity to embrace the desire to get active and be with people for a good cause. it's a charity race, like many others that happen in our city throughout the year. All you have to do is find out what it's all about, so join us!
The Pink Run starts at 10am
Collect your bib number from Erreà Play Vercelli, train a bit and show up at Piazza Cavour Sunday, March 8th at 9am, for the meeting. The non-competitive “Pink Run Vercelli” race will start at 10:00 am, while the walk will start at 10:10 am. As with other charity runs and walks held in the city in recent years, part of the proceeds from this initiative will go to charity. Given the significance of the day, March 8th, initiatives will be supported to help women and minors who are victims of violence.
For those who do not have a bib, there will be the possibility to purchase one in Piazza Cavour, shortly before the start. Participants will be given a “race pack”, consisting of the event T-shirt and other gadgets. And to end in the best possible way, there will be a refreshment point at the finish line.The route will be approximately seven kilometers long and immediately looks very interesting. It will start from Piazza Cavour and then travel along Via Verdi, Via Monte di Pietà, Via Brighinzio and Corso De Gasperi. After entering the underpass that leads to the Isola district, it will travel along Via Restano and enter the dirt road, exiting onto Corso Matteotti. It will then be the turn of the asphalt road of Corso Italia and via Gioberti. The finish line will be in Piazza Cavour.
It's a debut!
This 2020 is the first edition of the “Pink Run Vercelli”. Non-competitive walks and runs in Vercelli have a great following and success, as evidence of which we can cite the Santa Claus Race which has been held in December for several years now. We therefore hope that the "Pink Run Vercelli" will have a long life. The premises and the great work done to make it happen suggest a very positive outcome. This work involved associations, councilors, shopkeepers, and delegates. CONI.
A curiosity about the race: the event will be part of the “Bell Tower Trophy”This trophy is made up of ten non-competitive running races and involves Alice Castello, Bianzè, Carisio, Crescentino, Crova, Desana, Palazzolo, Salasco, San Germano, Tronzano, and, of course, Vercelli. Prizes will be awarded to the three municipalities and three groups with the greatest number of participants, combined at the end of the ten races.
