I numbers given by Dazn as for viewers, they clearly show that the illegal network for watching matches, the so-called “pezzotto”, has been growing steadily in recent years. It is really hard to believe, in fact, that only a few hundred thousand users watch Serie A matches.

So, various initiatives are being planned to counter this illegal use of pay TV. The most important novelty for this season is the introduction of Piracy Shield, an advanced platform designed to detect and block in real time illegal streams transmitted via IPTV, also known as “little piece”. The fines will be very heavy.
This fight against piracy is further strengthened and the announcement was made by AGCOM Commissioner (Communications Regulatory Authority), Massimiliano Capitanio, during a live broadcast on YouTube.

Thanks to the acceleration provided by law 93, which came into force last year, anyone caught using pirate systems to watch football matches will pay fines ranging from 150 to 5.000 euros, without going through the long judicial procedures typical of this type of proceedings, but practically automatically.
