The project, launched by Holidays, a company specialized in online non-hotel accommodation, has awarded Pescasseroli Italian Rural Capital 2024, the mountain village located in the province of L'Aquila, in the heart of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park (Pnalm). This initiative aims to enhance small municipalities immersed in nature, highlighting their natural, historical and cultural heritage.
Pescasseroli Italian Rural Capital 2024
Pescasseroli won the title of Italian Rural Capital 2024. The prestigious recognition is the result of an online survey promoted by agriturismo.it e CaseVacanza.it; two portals managed by Holidays and dedicated to nature and rural tourism. The survey involved tourists and enthusiasts of Italian villages, called to vote for their favorite destination among 20 locations carefully selected for their rural authenticity and respect for the environment.
Pescasseroli's victory is not a coincidence: the village, located in the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, one of the oldest protected areas in Italy, represents an example of perfect harmony between nature, tradition and sustainable development.
