THEEurope already sees the light at the end of the tunnel for post shooting Covid-19. One of the first signs is the establishment of the European health passport, which will allow to be able to travel safely already in the next few months. As announced by the head of the European Union Vaccine Task Force, Thierry breton to the microphones of RTL, it is a certified which can be shown at airport authorities, when you have to take a flight, or to safety during a great event (for example a concert), or for enter a public place. Breton himself then showed the presenters a prototype of the European certificate envisaged by the EU. This, again according to the European Commissioner for the Internal Market, may be available as early as 15nd June.

How the European health passport works

The European health passport will contain some useful information to demonstrate if a person is immune from Covid-19. This certified, in addition to data such as the passport number , date of birth, will contain a QR Code, which will allow to certify if a user has been vaccinated, when, with what type of vaccine. If you have already been affected by the disease, you will know if you still have it antibodies. Also, if a person has not yet received the vaccine, the outcome of the molecular buffer, carried out for example before the trip. Finally the European health passport will be the same in all EU countries and, especially, it will not be mandatory.

Breton's announcement is a glimmer of hope in a Europe still devastated by the effects of Covid-19. Many countries, Italy including, they are adopting severe measures to be able to contain the pandemic pending the arrival of greater quantities of vaccines. However, the European Commissioner for the Internal Market Breton has shown a lot optimistic, Stating that by mid-July you could reach theherd immunity and experience a summer "similar" to that of 2020. The same opinion seems to be Minister of Health Italian Roberto Speranza, which from the pages of Messenger speaks of less restrictive measures in the summer and the possibility of returning to travel thanks to the European health passport.

Although the situation is still serious and serious, the summer promises to be more rosy. With the arrival of the single-dose vaccine in April Johnson & Johnson it will be possible to accelerate the national vaccine plan and hope to reach quota 500.000 vaccinated per day. To be able to return to travel safely in Europe it is a dream that may soon come true and the European health passport is the key to making it happen. The hope now is that the majority of Europeans will use the European vaccination passport and that this will not turn out to be a flop.
