Paris 2024, more satisfactions for our colours. Today at the Olympic Games here are two more gold medals, for a total of five in this edition. Judoka Alice Bellandi triumphed in the -78 kg category. In the final the Italian beat the Israeli Inbar Lanir by 3 shido, already down by a waza-ari.
In the kayak specialty of canoe slalom, however, it was Giovanni De Gennaro who won the most coveted medal. The Brescia native played a perfect 12-man final, finishing in 88"22, ahead of the Frenchman Castryck and the Spaniard Echaniz. For Italy, a return to the top step of the canoe slalom podium after 12 years.
