The data for today, April 17, are very encouraging, let's see them in detail.
The diffusion
The data of infected every day it undergoes a slight decrease compared to yesterday, although it still remains high. Today there have been 3.493 new cases, for a total of 172.434. The great news is that these figures are the result of a whopping 65.705 swabs, another record. Therefore, the percentage of positive swabs is 5.3%, the lowest figure recorded since the beginning of the pandemic. This is a very important data, which gives the idea of diffusion based on the number of swabs.
Other data
Another extremely encouraging data is that of currently positive every day, having registered only 355 currently positive today, also here the lowest number since the beginning of the pandemic. This figure is certainly a consequence of the very high number of healings, again a record, with 2.563 healed. The epidemic curve also falls, from 2.29% to 2.07%.
From hospitals
The excellent trend of decreasing hospital pressure continues, thanks to a large decrease in intensive care patients and patients hospitalized with symptoms. THE ICU patients there are 2.812, with 124 fewer than yesterday. Excellent drop also in the data hospitalized patients with symptoms, with 1107 fewer patients, for a total of 25.786.
Who hasn't made it
Unfortunately, the number of deaths remains high, with 575 deaths. This number will be the last to suffer sharp declines, being a consequence of the data of the past few weeks. We hope and trust that with the favorable data recorded this week, the number of deaths will be increasingly reduced.
