Italian films at the 2021 Academy Awards: when the name of the film in competition will be known
The task of deciding which will be the best film among the candidates will be up to theANICA (National Association of Multimedia Audiovisual Cinematographic Industries). The association will meet next 24th November to choose the film that will have the honor of representing Italy in the 2021 Oscar nominations. Finally, the official nomination announcement will arrive on 15 March 2021, 40 days before the 93rd night of the Oscars (Academy Awards 2021). The last Italian masterpiece, awarded with the Oscar as best foreign film was "the great beauty"of Paolo Sorrentino in a 2014. Before that, "Life is Beautiful"of Roberto Benigni (which also won the award for best leading actor and best soundtrack) in 1999.
