Covid, infections in Italy are increasing exponentially enough to break through the ceiling of 140 thousand cases and ten regions slide into the yellow zone. The Omicron variant is rampant and the regions to change color are Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria, Lazio, Sicily, Calabria, Friuli Venezia-Giulia, Marche, Veneto and the autonomous provinces of Bolzano and Trento. Liguria, even, seems already close to encroaching on the orange band.
Yellow zone, the rules to follow
With the new measures imposed by Draghi government and valid until January 31st, there are few differences between the white and yellow areas. One of the main between these two areas, until now, was the obligation to wear the mask even outdoors. With the latest government decree, the use of the mask has been 'reinforced' throughout Italy. In fact, to access public transport, trains, airplanes, cinemas, theaters it is necessary to wear the Ffp2. And this until the end of the state of emergency, which is currently set for March 31st.
State of emergency
Until the end of the state of emergency, the 'Christmas decree' also provides for the extension of the obligation of a reinforced green pass, for vaccinated or recovered people, for consumption even at the counter in bars and restaurants. From 10 January 2022 the reinforced green pass will be extended to other activities: indoors for swimming pools, gyms and team sports; museums and exhibitions; indoors for wellness centers. And, again, spas (except for the essential levels of assistance and rehabilitation or therapeutic activities); theme and amusement parks. Indoors for cultural centers, social and recreational centers (excluding educational centers for children). Gaming rooms, betting rooms, bingo halls and casinos; hotels and other accommodation facilities including catering services provided within them even if reserved for customers staying there.
Parties resulting from civil or religious ceremonies; festivals and fairs; convention centers; outdoor catering services; ski lifts with tourist-commercial purposes even if located in ski areas; swimming pools, swimming centers, team sports and wellness centers, even outdoors; cultural centers, social and recreational centers for outdoor activities; means of transport including local or regional public transport. Furthermore, until January 31, 2022, events, parties and concerts involving gatherings in open spaces are prohibited.. The dance halls, discos and similar places will be closed, where events, concerts or parties, however called, are held, open to the public.
