Don't touch Eva, Fidapa's commitment

“It was born from the collaboration with the schools The meeting, titled "Hands Off EVA," will be held for lower and upper secondary schools, says Anna Rosetta, president of Fidapa (Federation of Italian Women's Federations) in Palazzolo. The meeting is sponsored by Fidapa, an association that has been active in Palazzolo for over 40 years, promoting initiatives for gender equality in the workplace, culture, and art. Why this title? As you know, Eve is the first woman, born from Adam's rib. She is the one who led man into sin, the cause of his disobedience, and is therefore the foundation of a patriarchal culture that has been perpetuated through the centuries from generation to generation.

Fidapa is fully aware of the cultural emergency we witness daily: femicide, as an act of annihilation of women as such, is just the tip of the iceberg of many behaviors that lurk behind closed doors, the extreme manifestation of more subtle and silent forms of violence that reveal women's submission to men's will. "Hence the need," she added, "for systemic training in which all educational agencies—family, school, and local associations like Fidapa—work together to guide the men and women of tomorrow toward models of equality in the relationship between men and women.
