The lit fireplace, a goblet of red placed next to it. And, in your hands, a book of those that steal your thoughts. Is there anything more relaxing? Probably not. This is what the inventors of the Librottiglia, bottle of wine whose label hides… a real one book!
What is the Librottiglia
The history of Librottiglia is the history of the agency that conceived it, the Milanese Reverse Innovation. Who was the first to have the intuition: to link the world of wines to the world of reading. Because no combination is random here: the characteristics of each product are combined with a specific narrative genre, so as to create aeno-literary experience unique and complex. To give life to the union several authors were involved, called to write their stories for wine bottles in 375 ml format. They drink it two glasses of excellent wine, and reads a brief story. Thus giving himself a break from life.
Thus, Michele Navarro wrote his "Night.a.a.a.”For the Passito. Or better, “Notte.una.a.una” is a selection of his best poems that go well with a sweet and fresh wine. "Perfect fisherman”By Marco Iacampo, a singer-songwriter by profession, tells of a simple hobby that becomes passion. And it accompanies the Roero red with its intensity. "The lighting”By the novelist and theatrical author Sal Costa, with tragicomic notes, is a light and casual story like the white Roero Arneis. "Window seat”Is the story of a journey that the writer and journalist Tommaso Pellizzari makes, and which is paired here with Barbera (a wine that needs time to be understood). Finally, Chianti Superiore is the perfect wine for the irreverent story "The best child in the world”By Danilo Zanelli.
The success of the first edition
The first edition of the Librottiglia was a great success. On that occasion, three authors had been involved. Patrizia Laquidara had signed "The Frog in the Belly“, An intriguing fairy tale perfect for the eclectic personality of Anthos red. Danilo Zanelli, journalist and satirist, had written the yellow of humorous notes "The murder“, Then paired with the light Roero Arneis. "I love you. Forget me”By Regina Nadaes Marque, the story of a love that changes your life, was finally compared to Nebbiolo. Ruby red, like passion.
"Nowadays we read books on computers, tablets and mobile phones. Why not on a bottle of wine?”Reads the Librobottiglia website. It's still: "After years of debate between analogue and digital, let's move the question to an alternative: oenological instead of digital!". The bottles, for sale online, cost 15 euros (for the 375 ml format) and 18 euros (for the 500 ml format).
