The relics of Blessed Carlo Acutis are permanently displayed in the Church of San Benedetto in Lamezia Terme. To honor the liturgical memory of the young blessed, the rector of the inter-parish complex, Father Domenico Cicione Strangis, he presided over several moments of prayer and reflection. The novena that preceded the feast of October 12, the day on which the Church remembers the birth into Heaven of the blessed, saw the attentive and active participation of the prayer group "Carlo Acutis Lamezia”, which has been active in the city for some time. A group that, through its testimony and the dissemination of the extraordinary holiness of Blessed Carlo, is doing a healthy proselytizing work. The God's influencer was beatified on October 10, 2020 in Assisi, the city of the 'Poverello' to whom Charles was deeply attached. His mortal remains rest in the Sanctuary of the Spogliazione, where his body is exposed for the adoration of the faithful.

The relics
These are fragments of the body, hair, clothing, and burial ark of young Carlo. These precious fragments were donated directly by the Acutis family, through the postulator of the cause of beatification and canonization, Nicola Gori. A tremendous gift for the inter-parish complex of San Benedetto, for the prayer group, and for all those who are approaching the spirituality of God's influencer. Carlo was so called because he used the internet to communicate his faith.
As a trained programmer, as if he had already completed university studies, Carlo was convinced that the web was an important means of evangelization. On the web you can still see the exhibition dedicated to the Eucharistic miracles created by the young man a few months before his illness. Carlo Acutis is the first Millennial to ascend to the honors of the altars through beatification, which took place very quickly. Now we await the canonization: in fact, reports of the mystical presence of Carlo, the young blessed already venerated as a saint, are pouring in from all over the world.
