And this year the Monza GP has an even more particular flavor. The Monza racetrack will, in fact, celebrate its “grand prix of the century” tomorrow. It was inaugurated on September 3, 1922, among royal families, expeditions to the pole and immense crowds, it has always been one of the temples of Formula 1. Formula 1 standings before the Monza GP

The constructors' classification sees Ferrari in second place with 376 points, 4 wins and 13 podiums. Only Red Bull did better this year with 511, 11 wins and 19 podiums. Mercedes follows with 346 points. Mercedes never won this year but scored 12 podiums. This is the trio that is on the podium and that has created a huge gap compared to the others: the fourth in the constructors' classification is the Alpine with 125 points, practically a third compared to the third classified. In fifth place is McLaren with 101 points which has obtained a podium in the season, unlike the Alpine which has never won or obtained podiums.

In the drivers' standings, Verstappen stands out with 310 points, followed by Leclerc, a Ferrari driver, with 201 points together with Perez from Red Bull (still at 201 points). In fourth place the British Russell of Mercedes with 188 points, while the Spanish Sainz is fifth with 175 points. Two other Englishmen follow: Hamilton (Mercedes) at 158 ​​and Norris (McLaren) at 82. In eighth place is Ocon (Alpine) with 66 points, then Alonso (Alpine) with 59 points. Bottas (Alfa Romeo) closes the top ten with 46 points.
