One of the largest ski areas in Europe, from Champoluc to Gressoney, can also be visited in an "augmented reality" version

A virtual tour, before or after the live one. This year the area Monterosa Ski presents a novelty that links mountain tourism to technology.
Thanks to the innovative app Monterosa Ski VR, designed by the Turin-based studio Vtopia-Vr, all mountain enthusiasts can enjoy a 360 ° virtual tour. They can also imagine that they are on skis or on the board.

What does the Monterosa Ski VR app allow?

THEapp is downloadable for free from Android and iOS platforms. It allows you to easily get to know the slopes of the resorts of one of the largest ski areas in Europe.
From Champoluc to Alagna passing through Gressoney, Antagnod, Brusson, Champorcher and Gressoney-Saint-Jean you can admire over 150 panoramas and videos accompanied by special guides such as the teachers of the schools of the area or famous skiers such as Kristian Ghedina and Arianna Follis.
And for the most hi-tech, the use of the app can be improved by a headset or a special cardboard eyewear that allows you to enter augmented reality.

Ecomuseum and trails for experts

Many of the ski resorts in the Monte Rosa area offer numerous other attractions, in addition to the slopes and snow. Which ones are they?
With its Walser culture and the charm of an alpine village of yesteryear, Gressoney-Saint-Jean is the ideal destination for a weekend in Valle D'Aosta. The sixteenth-century church, the nineteenth-century villas, the Savoy castle with the Alpine Garden, the Alpenfaunamuseum with the collection of trophies and weapons. But also the squares and the park of Lake Gover offer various opportunities to visit even in winter.
A ecomuseum that tells the mountain, from the pastures to the peaks. For those who do not want to give up skiing and snowboarding, the Weissmatten slopes are suitable for satisfying even the most demanding skiers with tracks, even challenging and exciting from a landscape point of view.
For those who prefer cross-country skiing, there is a "ring" of 25 km at their disposal.
