The Mirabilandia amusement park will reopen next April 2 and, for the occasion, will host free Ukrainian families, who have escaped from war. A solidarity initiative that the managers of the Ravenna amusement park have agreed with the mayors and municipalities of the Romagna Riviera and the hinterland. Local transport companies also collaborate.
Mirabilandia hosts war refugees
The largest amusement park in Italy, therefore, will host some Ukrainian families for free for a day of fun and carefree. I refugees will arrive from Rimini, Riccione, Cervia, Cesenatico, Ravenna, San Lazzaro (Bologna) and Forlì. They will be guests of the park for the whole day and will have the opportunity to try the many attractions that have made Mirabilandia one of the most popular parks in Italy for 30 years. “We decided to give to families who still have the horror of war in their eyes the thing they do best: fun”. Thus Sabrina Mangia, sales & marketing director of Mirabilandia who underlines: "There are many families, but also single women with children, who in recent weeks have arrived as guests of the accommodation facilities on the Riviera and in the hinterland.
We decided to give them some serenity with the invitation to Mirabilandia. For 30 years we have been offering fun to our visitors and this time we are particularly excited to make ourselves available to those who really need lightness and positive sociability. Once again the 'Riviera Romagnola system' proves to have a big heart, putting together strengths and resources for the good of others. A special thanks goes to all the mayors who have joined the initiative, for their ready availability and for being spokespersons for this project ".
The park becomes a place of solidarity fun
“A nice initiative for the so many children fleeing the horror of war that have arrived these days in Emilia Romagna". These are the considerations of the regional councilor a Tourism and Commerce, Andrea Corsini who reiterates: “It is the testimony of the solidarity network that in our region was activated right from the start involving everyone: institutions, companies, associations, individuals.
The day organized in Mirabilandia aims to lighten, at least for one day, the terrible condition of the Ukrainian children and their families, assisted on the Riviera and in the hinterland. This once again demonstrates the sensitivity of our communities. A solidarity that we hope will continue, in all possible forms, to gather around the victims of this absurd and unjustifiable war ”.
