Best Italian excursions in the world
This is not a ranking, this should be clarified, but a list to suggest tourists to explore more, venturing into exciting hiking trails. Abandoning our lifestyle a little can only do us good, getting closer to unspoiled nature, or almost.
There are three Italian excursions included among the best in the world:
- Lake of Braies: fantastic place in the Dolomites. The path leading to the lake leaves you speechless. The Alta Via also starts here, one of the most iconic excursions in Italy
- Three peaks of Lavaredo: this is the simplest and, at the same time, spectacular path in this area. A flat circular route, really suitable for everyone to discover the scenery of the mountain range. Furthermore, in summer, the area is dotted with wildflowers everywhere
- Via Francigena: it is one of the longest routes in Europe, continuing in fact from England to Rome, for a total of 2 thousand km that also pass through France and Switzerland. It takes 90 days to complete this excursion, which you can obviously experience in mini sections (the most popular are the Francigena del Sud and the Tuscan stretch)
Here are the other hiking trails to discover abroad:
- Way of Santiago, Spain
- Mount Snowdon, Wales
- Caminito del Rey, Spain
- Yakushima, Japan
- Scafell Pike, England
- Great Ocean Walk, Australia
- West Highland Way, Scotland
How wonderful!
It makes you want to get going right away! Among the luxury absentees there is certainly the Via dell'Amore of the Cinque Terre! Unmissable!
