Weather experts are clear: hot and sultry weather will hit theItalian on the weekend because of Nero. From Saturday 12 August, the African anticyclone Nero it will make its appearance and, stretching from the coasts of North Africa to the central-western Mediterranean, it will bring with it a wave of hot air that will reach the entire peninsula from the Sahara desert. Nero was thus appealed to because he will point towards Rome and central Italy. The heat wave will last for at least ten days.
Weather Italy, with Nerone temperatures above 40 degrees are estimated
We will once again deal with the heat. After the respite granted by Cyclone Circe, which caused a drop in temperatures everywhere, causing them to drop below the seasonal average, the torrid heat will once again be felt throughout the country. Therefore, the weather will be upset by Nero. Hot temperatures expect, in particular, on Sunday the 13th, when, for example, in Sardinia it will reach 40°C. But the heat won't spare it either Sicilia and the Tyrrhenian regions, where peaks of up to 37°C are expected, and the inland areas of Lazio e Toscana.
In spite of this situation, a completely different one lies ahead in thealpine arc. Here, in the afternoon hours of Sunday, they are expected thunderstorms, due to the arrival of more unstable air at higher altitudes which will be able to pierce the high pressure field. In particular, in Piemonte e Trentino Alto Adige, there may be some hail. From Thursday 17 August, on the other hand, the entire peninsula will have to deal with temperatures above 40 degrees and with the heat, especially in the centre-south.
Some advice to protect yourself from the heat
Let's not forget that the hot, accompanied by high levels of humidity, can put people's health at risk, especially the elderly and the most fragile. To avoid taking risks, it is therefore important to follow some simple rules drawn up by the Ministry of Health. Among these: avoid exposure to the sun during the hottest hours; eat light foods, along with fresh fruit; drink a lot of water; use an air conditioner if possible.
