The new place was inaugurated by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella who spoke cordially and informally with the young pizza makers and with the adults who accompany them in this extraordinary adventure of social and work inclusion. President Mattarella, accompanied by Nino Acampora, the creator of Pizzaut, attended the ribbon cutting of the new headquarters, visited the structure and attended the signing of the permanent employment contract for two boys who will work in the restaurant. With the lunch prepared by the boys, the visit of the Head of State who also tasted a delicious 'tricolor pizza'. Below are some excerpts from President Mattarella's greeting to the special kids and the owners of the new pizzeria. “Thank you for inviting me, it's a pleasure to be here. But I would like to tell you, first of all, that you are very good. The pizza was delicious, it was magnificent, very good. And the way of presenting it on the table was excellent.
Since I wouldn't have been able to make them or bring them to the table, I admired your ability. You have a really high level of professionalism. Well done! That's why I'm not surprised that two guys have signed a permanent employment contract, because you have professionalism, because you work excellently. I would like to thank Nico Acampora, because what he dreamed of, he intuited, some time ago, at the moment in which he thought it and created it, everyone thought it impossible, they thought it unlikely. And yet it is reality. This is not a place that is just an example, it is a place of normality, because people work like everyone else does.
I am one of you
Each person, each person - every woman, every man - has a sensitivity, his own way of expressing himself, of realizing himself, of living. No one is the same as another. This means that everyone must have the opportunity to be able to express themselves, to realize. And Nico Acampora did this: he created the possibility of expressing oneself. And you have proven to be excellent. And it is a gratitude that I intend to express in a truly sincere, full way, not only to Nico - to those who have helped him, to those who have supported him, to those who support him - but to you who have demonstrated what it is to be committed, to work together , to be in solidarity with each other. Guys, thanks for everything! I'm one of you, thank you!"
