Marinella Senatore is a multidisciplinary artist. Born in Cava de 'Tirreni in 1977, boasts a varied education to say the least, which allows her to approach the world of art in different ways. You have studied music, fine arts and cinema and are able to propose collective artistic forms to the world, drawing heavily from popular culture. All fused with key elements such as music and dance, keeping in mind the place where what she has designed takes place.
His works and interventions take particular account of the environment in which they develop. However, the place changes, it is destined to do so because his works are transformed into functional structures, which generates new environments through the use of various media offered to the public.

In 2012 he created The School of Narrative Dance (SOND). It is a project in full keeping with its form of expression. It is in fact a nomadic, itinerant and totally free school, which offers interested parties an alternative training path, focused on inclusion, self-training and emancipation.
SOND changes according to the place where it takes shape from time to time. Active in Italy and abroad, it has received several prestigious commissions. One of these is the Rosas project, born in 2019 and representing the largest participatory work in an urban context, created with the involvement of different institutions active in three different countries: Germany, England and Italy. This shows how social connections are the basis of Marinella Senatore's work, whose source of inspiration is the search for ways to make art a process of personal emancipation.
The artist thus expressed himself on the message he has been launching around the world for years: "Dignity, empowering and emancipation: the artist carves out a specific role, that of activator of a mechanism (which is the work) which aims to produce a transforming force from the meeting of the elements included in it, until it reaches the viewer ".
Something About You
On March 3, 2022 there will be space for an exhibition by Marinella Senatore at Flash, at 68 St Lucia Street in Valletta. After the inauguration of the exhibition there will be the possibility of a meeting with the artist at 18.30 at the Italian Cultural Institute La Valletta, in St George's Square in Valletta.
The exposure Something About You it combines paintings, drawings, videos and a site specific sculpture, that is, created in such a way as to find its ultimate meaning thanks to the environment in which it is displayed. More than bringing something from the outside, Marinella Senatore immerses herself in the culture of the place, evoking the Maltese tradition of celebrating the whole community during festivals in the villages, between lights and plays of lights. At the center of the artistic exhibition is the public, called to interact and grow.
