A disturbance slightly less strong than the one at the beginning of December, is crossing Italy, bringing with it scattered rainfall, including of the stormy, with particular intensity in the Tyrrhenian regions.

Between the evening of Friday 13th and the day of Saturday 14th December, a phase of strong atmospheric instability is expected, especially on the Campania, with extensions also towards the Tyrrhenian sectors of the Basilicata and Calabria Northern.

This weather scenario, characterized by heavy showers, electrical activity and strong gusts of wind, could cause hydrogeological and hydraulic criticalities in the most affected areas.

The Department of Civil Protection, in collaboration with the regions concerned, has issued a warning of adverse weather conditions, signaling the risk of phenomena that could have significant impacts on the territory. Local authorities are therefore invited to prepare by activating civil protection systems where necessary. In particular, for Saturday 14 December, a yellow alert has been issued for: Umbria, Lazio, Puglia and areas of Campania, Basilicata and Calabria. In Puglia, the alert will start at midnight on Friday for the next 20 hours and has been indicated in the areas: central Adriatic Puglia, Salento, central Bradanica Puglia, Lato and Lenne basins, lower Ofanto.

This alert level indicates the need to carefully monitor the situation, as bad weather could cause hardships e critical issues linked to hydrological phenomena, such as flooding or landslides. The weather authorities invite the population to pay attention to local forecasts and to follow the indications of the Civil Protection to avoid risks during this phase of bad weather, which is expected to be particularly intense over the weekend.
