The spirit of travel and the discovery of extraordinary places, architectural and artistic masterpieces have characterized the models of the maison presented in the extraordinary scenography of the Borromean Islands.

The Cruise fashion show took place on Isola Bella, a treasure trove of Baroque art suspended over the water, which has belonged to the Borromeo family for 450 years. Admirable example of Italian Baroque, Isola Bella, Palazzo Borromeo and its gardens stand like a vessel on the waters of Lake Maggiore. Geometries, shapes and lines establish a close dialogue with the lake and its reflecting waters. The Louis Vuitton Cruise it is the first fashion show hosted in the Palace and Gardens of the island. Until 1630 it was a rock inhabited by fishermen, with two churches and a vegetable garden.
Beautiful island
The Borromeos, already owners of Isola Madre since 1501, concentrated their interests on the island, giving way to a grandiose project which led to the creation of the palace and garden. The project will be started by Vitaliano VI. The works continued until the end of the eighteenth century and in theNineteenth century, up to 1948 when with Vitaliano IX Borromeo the new hall, the north facade and the large pier were built.
In the past, Louis Vuitton's Cruise shows have taken place in locations such as the Hope Residence in Palm Springs California, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Niterói in Brazil, the Miho Museum in Kyoto in Japan and the Salk Institute of La Jolla (United States) on the bank'Pacific Ocean. The Cruise collection presented on Isola Bella will arrive in Louis Vuitton stores starting next November.
