The 2025 edition of the Street Lamp Festival in Calimera, in the province of Lecce, promises to be full of events not to be missed, with a program that mixes the traditional sounds of Salento with more modern contaminations, offering an engaging experience suitable for all types of audiences. During the festival, the small town of Salento fills with lights creating suggestive landscapes.
The party that began yesterday saw an evening dedicated to popular music and the sounds of memory with the Bottari of Macerata Campania and their “Sonorità Antiche”, a performance that was able to transport those present on a journey through ancestral rhythms and archaic atmospheres.
Lampion Festival: The Grand Finale tonight
The most awaited moment of the event will take place this evening, Saturday 21 June, again in Piazza del Sole and again at 22pm, with the Super Taranta special concert. This extraordinary musical project will see the extraordinary participation of Tosca, a refined and versatile interpreter, who will intertwine her voice with the overwhelming rhythms of the pizzica.
Taking the stage, a group of excellent artists from the Salento and national music scene: Antonio Castrignano, Mauro Durante, Alessia Tondo, Emanuele Licci, Enza Pagliara, Giancarlo Paglialunga, Giulio Bianco, Riccardo Laganà, Anto Giulio Galeandro, Massimiliano Morabito, Maurizio Pellizzari, Giuseppe Spedicato, Silvia Perrone, Davide Monaco and Moira Cappilli. The evening will be further enriched by the performances of Ninfa Giannuzzi and Luigi Marra.
But the Festa dei Lampioni is not just music: during all the evenings, visitors can taste the typical specialties of the area thanks to the numerous food stands, which will offer traditional dishes and local products. Finally, there are exhibitions and markets dedicated to crafts local, where you can admire and purchase handmade creations, evidence of the mastery and art of local artisans. A unique opportunity to take home a souvenir of Salento and help support local artisan realities.
