"Seven beautiful years of Serie B ended last night with the match in La Spezia. The disappointment and bitterness of the relegation today probably do not allow most people to look at and evaluate with serenity and clarity the path we have taken. Seasons that have seen Cosenza compete in the second national series, fighting with pride to defend the category and trying, as in the last season, to reach more ambitious goals by conquering the fifth best placement in the history of the rossoblù. Like every year, at the beginning of this season we made some choices, with the intent of improving ourselves, bringing to Cosenza the Director Beppe Ursino who we had courted for a long time in the past, the promising Sporting Director Gennaro Delvecchio, a coach like Massimiliano Alvini, whose game and personality we have always appreciated, and setting up a team, composed of some experienced players and other young people, mostly owned. Choices that in the first phase of the championship have given more than positive signals, making us imagine a different evolution from that then found in the following months."

We have tried every possible and imaginable attempt to remedy what, even today, we consider an unjust penalty and we are convinced that such a severe sanction will never be imposed again for similar circumstances. The will, which coincides with the wishes of the fans, is to ensure a bright future for Cosenza. There are concrete situations in progress and one, in particular, could be defined very soon. In recent months, in parallel with our sporting commitment, we have worked to identify and share a path useful for the transfer of ownership with subjects who have the economic and financial capacity to guarantee an immediate return to Serie B. Cosenza therefore does not stop here, let's clear the field of any doubts or perplexity. We understand the interest of the institutions, the press and the supporters, therefore we are committed to informing assiduously of every further step in the evolution of this fundamental phase for the restart of Cosenza.
