Easter with bad weather in the North: a new disturbance is coming from the West. The latest weather models indicate the arrival of a new offensive disturbance from the West right around the Easter period.
Disturbances in the North for Easter
A large depression area, centered on the British Isles, will try to extend its influence towards southern Europe, involving Italy as well. However, according to the projections of the ECMWF model, the disturbance should not be able to involve the entire national territory with the same intensity.
The most marked action is expected in the northern and central regions of the country, in particular in the North-West. Therefore, even heavy rains are expected for Easter in cities such as GenoVa, Florence, Turin, Milan, Alexandria, Pisa, Livorno, Novara, to name a few. But rain is also expected in Lazio and Umbria.
Easter afternoon with showers?
The worsening will be accompanied by temporal widespread in the afternoon, which will initially affect the western slopes and then extend to the eastern ones during Easter Sunday. The forecast precipitation maps confirm significant accumulations in various areas of the peninsula, a sign of a decidedly unstable Easter Sunday for much of the Center-North. The South and the regions of the middle-lower Adriatic will instead enjoy a better weather situation, drier and sunnier and often accompanied by temperatures above the average for the period.
More stable Easter Monday
For Easter Monday the weather should be more stable throughout Italy. Some small disturbances could persist in the North, but the weather situation will be decidedly better than on Easter Sunday. Obviously these are initial projections, for more precise forecasts we will have to wait.
