Adriatic Italy has been hit by a wave of bad weather since the early hours of this morning. From North to South, it was mainly the Eastern regions that recorded days of rain and strong gusts of wind.

In particular the Veneto was hit by a violent wave of bad weather that caused widespread damage in several provinces. Very strong gusts of wind blew off roofs, knocked down trees and tore down road signs, requiring the intervention of firefighters in numerous municipalities.

A Vicenza, a young woman was rescued after being trapped inside her car, hit by a falling tree. The rescue was timely and avoided more serious consequences.

The Mose is activated in Venice

A Venice, in anticipation of the high tide, the Mose system to protect the city from high water. The intervention was made necessary by extreme weather conditions, with the tide level expected to be well above the critical threshold.

The Dolomites were also affected by bad weather: on April 25th, abundant snowfall, with significant accumulations especially above 1.000 metres above sea level.
